Quality Rehabilitation Work Progress on George’s Valley Road (R528)
MEC Ernest Rachoene monitoring progress on strategic road R528 which is currently under rehabilitation construction
Limpopo MEC for Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure, Tonny Ernest Rachoene, on 14 August 2026, conducted a project monitoring activity on George’s Valley Road in the Greater Tzaneen Local Municipality.
The rehabilitation of the R528/D548 road by Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) is progressing well, with a strong focus on delivering a safer and more comfortable travelling experience for motorists.
Three contractors have been appointed to undertake major rehabilitation works on this important route, which connects Polokwane and surrounding areas to Tzaneen. The project is aimed at improving road conditions, enhancing mobility, and ensuring safer journeys for residents, commuters, and visitors who rely on this key corridor.
The quality workmanship demonstrated on site reflects the commitment towards building durable infrastructure that supports economic growth, improves connectivity, and enhances the daily experiences of road users.
